Our History
Imagine Painting is a family business with three generations of experience and success. Lonnie Sinclair moved to Calgary from Manitoba in the early 1970s. He has been working with home builders and commercial construction companies since the creation of the then-named AT&T building in downtown Calgary.
Lonnie created his own company and ran it successfully, letting his wife, Janette, stay at home to raise their four children. Their son Steven began painting for his dad as a teenager, and he quickly displayed leadership and a great work ethic. Soon, Steven was supervising a team of his own, but Steven’s ambition didn’t end there. He developed his own business plan.
Within a few years, he began negotiating painting contracts on his own. Seventeen years later, the Sinclair family, including Lonnie and Steven’s son Turner, continue to support Steven’s dream and contribute to the success of Imagine Painting Ltd.
Our team at Imagine Painting started as just our family, so we’ve continued to care about each of our employees, clients, contractors, and suppliers as if every team member was still our family. Nothing but the most professional and courteous behaviour is acceptable, and honesty and transparency are the foundation of all of our interactions.
